Current Employment Opportunities
The application process for positions may vary between internal and external candidates, depending on the specific role. According to union contracts, certain positions may need to be posted internally for a specified number of days before they are opened to outside applicants.
To apply for a posted position, you must complete an online application and include all requested information. All applications will remain active for one year, and candidates will be contacted if selected for an interview.
Once hired, all applicants are required to undergo state and national criminal background checks as mandated by state law. This will include a fingerprinting process. During this process, applicants will need to disclose if they have ever been convicted of a crime or if they have any pending charges.
If you have any questions or need assistance with the application process, please call the Ellington Board of Education’s central office at (860) 896-2300.
NON DISCRIMINATION: The Ellington Board of Education does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, marital status, national/ethnic origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, or disability in its programs, activities, and employment practices as set forth in compliance with the Office of Civil Rights, Title VI, Title IX, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
